When a porcelain doll realizes she's beginning to crack, she must choose between her love to perform and her life.
This fantasy drama combines the allure and aesthetics of circus with the sensuality of cabaret, following a human doll who begins to crack under the pressure of the abusive ringmaster. I made a number of costumes myself, hand-sewing 127 individual petals onto the ‘flower tutu’, and creating the ‘circus tutu’ nearly entirely from scratch. With its strong aesthetic draw, I had the pleasure of costuming for one of the larger ensemble casts of my career, dressing showgirls, fortune tellers, mimes, and acrobats, as well as a club singer and of course, our porcelain doll.
