A ballet dancer is stretching her leg before practice. She's wearing an athletic sage green leotard, a cream crochet bolero, tan shorts, cream leg warmers, and nude ballet shoes. Her brown hair is tied up in a ballet bun. Other dancers also warm up in the background.

Holly Hayward

Costume Designer

I am a dedicated and adaptable costume designer who cares about authenticity and artistic integrity, with a love for creating and a fascination with costume as a visual language. Exploring character and narrative through clothing, my work is often informed by history, psychology, and semiotics, in order to convey the appropriate message of a scene or overall film.

February 2026 - Short

Wind & Water dir. Alex Harvey

A wedding day unravels into chaos when a deadly infection spreads. A story where love, decay, and transformation collide. The infection becomes a metaphor for the rot already inside the relationship, blurring the line between devotion and destruction.

December 2025 - Miniseries

Annoying Blonde Americans dir. Joy Abraham

California-bred Cam and her eccentric cousin Lana (both blonde, both annoying, both American) terrorise the streets of London. The girls have a lot to learn about dry British humour, the dire dating scene in England’s capital city, and most importantly; how to put up with one another.

January 2026 - Feature

Butterfly dir. Sam Picariello

When Joe gets an opportunity that could transform his career and his life, he hesitates to take it, afraid to leave his old life behind. A psychic night at his local pub reveals uncomfortable truths about himself, and he grows uneasy, especially when predictions begin to come true. He steps outside to clear his head, disappearing for a while before returning… different.

What a costume designer does is a cross between magic and camouflage. We create the illusion of changing the actors into what they are not. We ask the public to believe that every time they see a performer on the screen he's become a different person.
